Resources, channeled guided meditation, spiritual messages and astrology to assist yo
The Natal chart is a map of the sky, showing where all the planets were in their journey around the Sun, at the exact moment you were born.
Mastering your astrology chart gives you the guidance to understand the opportunities for soul growth, the challenges to overcome in this lifetime, your strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes, and a deep view of your personality and unconscious mind.
To obtain your natal chart you need:
* Your date of birth
* Your time of birth
* Your place of birth
(country and city)
Once you collect this information, you can find many online sites that offer a free natal chart. You fill in your information and .... voilà
you have your own chart !
There are many branches of astrology, and each astrologer has their own way of interpreting the natal charts. I align with the idea of understanding all the elements of a chart but allowing my spirit guides to assist me with the interpretation, which I call "Intuitive Astrology."
It is my intention to offer a guide for you to get the main concepts and start your journey of self-discovery.
The birth chart wheel, or natal chart is formed by two circles overlapping, each divided into 12 spaces.
The zodiac wheel (the outer circle), shows the 12 zodiac signs and it is based on the Sun's "apparent" yearly rotation around Earth. Each zodiac sign has 30 degrees, and they are organized counterclockwise.
The Wheel of Houses is based on our Earth's 24-hour rotation around its own axis. There are also 12 houses, organized counterclockwise, that are shaped like a pizza slices, inside the wheel. The Wheel of Houses must always be laid out with the first house starting under the horizontal line (the horizon), that divides the wheel into two, the first house starting on the left side.
The zodiac signs, planets and aspects between the planets are arranged on the wheel according to their actual astronomical position in the sky, the moment we are born.
The dividing line before each house is called “Cusp". The cusp of the first house is the horizontal line that divides the chart in two, and it extends directly to the left. The cusp of the second house is the next line moving counterclockwise, and so forth. Houses 1 to 6 are below the horizon and houses 7 to 12 are above the horizon.
The zodiac sign on the cusp of each house indicates the energy carried in the aspect of life designated by that house. The planets in a house will define what happen in that area; the zodiac signs where the planets are in, will adjust how the planets manifest themselves.
Ascendant, AC - The cusp or starting point of the 1st house. The point which is exactly on the horizon, on the east, the moment you were born.
Medium Coeli, MC - The point which is exactly over-head, and is always the starting point, or the cusp of the 10th house (Medium Coeli, Mid Heaven, or just MC).
Descendant, DC - The point, which is exactly on the horizon, on the west, is always the cusp or starting point of the 7th house.
Imum Coeli, IC - The point which is exactly opposite to the over-head, is the cusp of the 4th house.
Planets - What happens
Houses - Where it happens
Zodiac signs - How it happens
AC - YOUR PERSONALITY
MC - CULMINATION POINT
DC - THE OTHERS
IC - YOUR ROOTS
The 12 houses are the areas of your life where things happen for you. The planets in the houses will tell you what is happening in that area, and the zodiac signs will tell you how it is happening. The houses are not energies like the zodiac signs or planets, nor do they add meanings to the energies like the zodiac signs do; they are rather "where" these energies are destined to act and influence you, they are simply the areas of life, not the experience of it.
The first six houses in the natal chart, (the lower six), are “personal houses” concerned with self-image, values, perception, ancestry, self-expression, health and daily habits.
Houses seven through twelve, (the upper six) are the "interpersonal houses” and they relate to partnerships, connection with others, communities, career and public image.
Everything in your life happens in one of these twelve houses.
A planet falling in its own house will be much stronger than in any other house.
The Sun rules the 5th house
The Moon rules the 4th house
Mercury rules the 3rd and 6th house
Venus rules the 2nd and 7th house
Mars rules the 1st house and is the co-ruler of the 8th house
Jupiter is the ruler of the 9th and co-ruler of the 12th house
Saturn is the ruler of the 10th house and co-ruler of the 11th house
Uranus rules the 11th house
Neptune rules the 12th house
Pluto rules the 8th house
The 12 zodiac signs are HOW we connect with the situations that the planets present for us, and HOW we incorporate those lessons in our lives.
Where the cusp of each house falls, there is a zodiac sign that will bring a "unique energy" to the activities of that house, and a specific personality to the planets in that house.
When the house has no planets in it, the house takes the energy of that zodiac sign fully, and the ruler of that zodiac sign becomes then the absolute ruler of that house.
Aries "I ACT" is ruled by Mars
Taurus "I HAVE" is ruled by Venus
Gemini "I THINK" is ruled by Mercury
Cancer "I FEEL" is ruled by the Moon
Leo "I AM" is ruled by the Sun
Virgo "I SERVE" is ruled by Mercury
Libra "I LOVE" is ruled by Venus
Scorpio "I TRANSFORM" is ruled by Pluto and co-ruled by Mars
Sagittarius "I GROW" is ruled by Jupiter
Capricorn "I ACHIEVE" is ruled by Saturn
Aquarius "I EVOLVE" is ruled by Uranus and co-ruled by Saturn
Pisces "I IMAGINE" is ruled by Neptune and co-ruled by Jupiter
The planets represent WHAT is happening in our lives, in each area of our lives, showed by the houses where the planets are in. The planets are what we come to physicality to explore and learn. They represent the things that happen for us.
They each tell a story; they represent our emotions, our mental nature, what we love, as well as the people that we connect with in this life. They together form our "self", and by studying them separately, we have an opportunity to understand ourselves in depth, each and every aspect of our nature.
The story that each planet tells about us is colored by the zodiac sign that the planet is in, it is also colored by the connections with other planets in the chart, how well they get along with each other, and all this is being played in the house where you find the planet.
The planets combined with the attributes of the zodiac signs represent our "inner-wiring".
